Commercial Masonry Projects in Los Angeles
Masonry Quality of a By-Gone Era
Decorators and architects seek to capture and express both atmosphere and ambience in alluring design. The elegance, enduring beauty, and timeless quality of a by-gone era resonates in the stateliness of masonry.
For half a century Brik-Art has furnished clients with décor and masonry installation for shops, boutiques, stores, bars, restaurant, storefronts, props for movie studios, retail display, commercial signage, displays for point-of-sale for merchandise and countless other uses with the appeal and warmth and ageless feel of masonry construction as an unparalleled element of design and distinction.
Our Los Angeles masonry team partners with developers throughout the San Fernando Valley to deliver code-compliant block, brick, and stone assemblies that balance structural performance with brand-defining design.
A Unique Touch
Hilton Doubletree Hotel

Justice Urban Tavern
The first phase of this project was the installation of full-dimension stone in the dining room. The second phase was the installation of stone on the east wall and tile on the floor of the bar. The third phase was the masonry on the storefront. The fourth phase was the installation of quarry tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Converse
3501 Hayden Avenue in Culver City. The “during” shots, showing plywood sheerwall over framing, with two finish shots from the parking lot and from the street, was done in part to accommodate a new second story entrance. The zany outward leaning of the wall, characteristic of Moss-designed buildings, is particularly striking as it depicts a brick wall which, from an engineering standpoint, defies gravity and renders the use of full masonry impossible if not extraordinarily challenging to design and build.
Olympic
An Olympic Boulevard building in Beverly Hills. Brik-Art developed the entire frontage, building face to sidewalk, placing concrete footings with concrete block planters and walls, facing the planters with thin brick and capping the tops of planters with matching full brick, placing concrete flatwork for ramp access and steps to front door, and finishing with decomposed granite around the olive tree. Additional work on the east side and backside was also done with matching materials.
Muji USA

The minimalist Japanese retailer Muji was located near the Grauman's (TCL) Chinese Theater in the Hollywood Boulevard Peterson building. Brik-Art decorated the east wall with full charcoal-colored brick shipped across the Pacific and created facades with red thin brick on various merchandise racks. This project required precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of architectural harmony to create a warm and inviting space that reflects Muji’s signature style.
